Job Summary
 
Responsible for providing clinical expertise and direction to enhance the quality and performance outcomes in patient care, patient safety, value based care, and efficiency in Nueterra facilities.    Collaborates with senior leadership, the corporate services clinical team, and the nursing leaders of the facilities, to guide and support the implementation of evidence- based best practice to improve  performance in medical staff functions, nursing services, clinical operations, quality management, accreditation/licensure, and education/development.
 
Essential Functions
 
  1. Supports the accomplishment of corporate strategic goals that achieve high impact and
significant improvements in organizational performance, i.e., patient perception of care, HCAPS scores
  1. In conjunction with Facility Leadership, implements Nueterra’s QAPI program activities for patient care, treatment, and facilities
  2. Evaluates and analyzes clinical data from the facilities to identify specific patterns and trends in care delivery. Performs follow-up evaluations of data and organizational performance to ensure consistent improvement. Ensures that interventions are measured for effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Develops and delivers leader and staff education that impacts quality measures and patient perception of care through Nurse Leader webinars, recommended Health Stream courses, onsite training opportunities, etc…
  4. Provides leadership, as well as coaching, to facilities in order to ensure accountability and promote early adoption of best-practices tactics
  5.  Works with the facility leadership and staff to create policies and procedures that ensure quality care and patient safety
  6. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; keeping up to date with federal and state laws and regulations by maintaining current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal, licensing and state policies, as well as directives and current nursing practice standards
  7. Conducts various reviews of facility operations andcompliance including, but not limited to, Joint Commission readiness survey, CMS readiness survey, AAAHC readiness survey, DNV readiness survey, focused area survey, CORE survey, and State compliance survey
  8. Coordinates with the facility leadership to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations including but not limited to those of local, state, and federal authorities, accrediting bodies, OSHA and State Nursing Practice Act.
  9. Attends facility Board, CQI, Safety, Infection Control, etc. meetings as requested by Facility Leadership and Group Vice President.
 
Education, Experience, & Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse, Bachelors required, Masters required in a related field
  • Minimum five (5) years management experience in a Hospital with experience in healthcare quality and performance improvement, health data analysis, and reporting
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills focused on adult learning
  • CPHQ preferred
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, directing accrediting body surveys such as Joint Commission, DNV, AAAHC, and CMS
  • Ability to think analytically and apply critical thinking skills to issues. Data management and statistical experience is also desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects
  • Able to travel up to 50%
